Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan Takes Charge of Western Naval Command

Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan assumed charge as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command on 30 May 2026 in Mumbai. He succeeded Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan in the post. He had earlier served as the 47th Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 1 January 1988.
