Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Policy Document

The Telangana government will launch the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Policy Document. This initiative aims to transform the state into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with an interim goal of reaching a $1 trillion economy by 2035. The policy reflects a commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth across various sectors.

Goals and Objectives

The primary goal is economic transformation. The document sets ambitious targets for growth and development. It emphasises sustainable practices and inclusivity. Key areas of focus include infrastructure development, women empowerment, youth upliftment, and farmer welfare. The strategy aims to ensure that all segments of society benefit from economic advancements.

Collaboration with Experts

The Indian School of Business (ISB) and NITI Aayog will be knowledge partners. Their expertise will help align Telangana’s objectives with the broader national agenda of Vikasit Bharat. A high-level Advisory Committee will be formed. This committee will consist of national and international experts. Their role will be to guide the drafting process and provide vital information about effective implementation.

Infrastructure Development Initiatives

A component of the Vision Document is infrastructure enhancement. The Cabinet has approved the final alignment of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) in southern Telangana. This alignment stretches 201 km from Choutuppal to Sangareddy. The RRR aims to alleviate traffic congestion in Hyderabad. It will also support regional development and the establishment of new cities.

Government Department Involvement

All government departments will contribute to the Vision Document. This unified approach ensures that various sectors work in harmony towards common goals. Each department’s input will be crucial for the comprehensive development of the state. This collaboration is expected to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in governance.

Upcoming Legislative Actions

The Cabinet has scheduled a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting for July. This meeting will review the Godavari-Banakacherla water diversion project. A PowerPoint presentation will be made to Congress MLAs and MPs. It will outline the current status and future actions related to the project. This initiative marks the government’s focus on water management and resource allocation.
