Second Edition of Naval Commanders’ Conference 2026 Begins in New Delhi

The Second Edition of the Naval Commanders’ Conference 2026 is scheduled from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at Nausena Bhawan in New Delhi. The conference is the apex-level forum of the Indian Navy and brings together senior naval leadership, including operational commanders and area commanders.

Conference Structure and Leadership

The three-day conference includes interactions with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 29 September 2026. The Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of the Army Staff are also scheduled to interact with naval commanders for tri-Services coordination and integration.

Operational and Strategic Agenda

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh C Tripathi and the Commanders-in-Chief will review operations, materiel, logistics, human resources, and training. The conference will also cover maritime security challenges, force modernisation, and preparedness in the context of conflicts in West Asia.

Technology and Maritime Security Focus

The agenda includes niche technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis, autonomous and uncrewed systems, and cyber operations. The Indian Navy’s maritime security role includes safeguarding energy supplies and conducting Operation Urja Suraksha during West Asia-related disruptions.
