Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the Tourism Leadership Summit-2026 organised by the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in New Delhi. Tourism is more than an industry, describing it as a bridge between cultures and a driver of economic opportunities. Tourism serves as a powerful instrument of soft diplomacy and acts as a key pillar of the India–US economic corridor. India has unveiled the Tourism Vision 2029, which aims to develop at least one world-class tourist destination in every state with robust infrastructure, seamless connectivity, smart amenities and sustainable practices.

India Energy Transition Summit 2026 was organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, held in New Delhi. India’s solar capacity has more than tripled recently; renewable energy moved from margins to mainstream. India targets 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2070. Energy transition boosts competitiveness, employment, energy independence, and resilient economy.

The International Malaria Conference 2026 was held in New Delhi from 7–9 March 2026. It was organised by ICMR–National Institute of Malaria Research under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The theme is “Discovery, Development, and Delivery: Driving Malaria Elimination and Beyond”. Scientists, public health experts, policymakers and researchers from India and other countries participated to discuss innovations and strategies for malaria elimination.

The National Conference on Cold Water Fisheries was held on 14 March 2026 at Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, organised by the Department of Fisheries India. It is the first national dialogue focused on sustainable development of Cold-Water fisheries in India’s high-altitude regions. Cold-water fisheries are found mainly in Himalayas, parts of the Northeast, and peninsular highlands, covering about 5.33 lakh sq. km across states such as Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh.

Union Minister of Coal & Mines inaugurated the two-day National District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Summit 2026 at SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi. The summit focuses on effective use of DMF (District Mineral Foundation) funds for development in mining-affected areas. The theme of summit is Utilisation of DMF funds for Aspirational District Programme (ADP – Aspirational District Programme) and Aspirational Block Programme (ABP – Aspirational Block Programme).
