The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) organized the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 to boost trade and investment in the North Eastern Region. The 11th Conference of the State Parties (COSP-11) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) was held in Doha, Qatar. It took place from 15 to 19 December 2025 and was the world’s largest anti-corruption conference. The five-day event was hosted by the State of Qatar with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The key outcome was the adoption of the Doha Declaration 2025. The declaration focuses on strengthening international cooperation and technical assistance against corruption. It encourages the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools to prevent and fight corruption.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the Anti-Terrorism Conference-2025 in New Delhi, organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The two-day conference includes senior police officers from States/UTs, central agencies, and experts in law, forensics, and technology. The conference analyzes terrorist incidents in India and worldwide to enhance counter-terrorism capabilities, anticipating emerging threats and technology-driven terrorism.

India has assumed the BRICS chairmanship for 2026, with Brazil formally handing over the presidency. India will host the 18th BRICS Summit in 2026. The chairmanship is based on four pillars: Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Environmental Stability or Sustainability. India will push for reform of global governance institutions, stressing reform, not replacement, to reduce Western dominance. India aims to strengthen Global South leadership and promote a multipolar world order. It will project Digital Public Infrastructure as a scalable development model for the Global South.
