Indian billionaire Gautam Adani displaced Bill Gates to become the world’s fourth-richest person, as his net worth surged to USD 112.5 billion.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, he surpassed the Microsoft co-founder by USD 230 million. Adani has added USD 36 billion to his wealth this year, more than anyone else.

The Parliament has recently passed the Weapon of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Amendment Bill 2022.
Ministry of External Affairs introduced the bill. It seeks to amend the 2005 Act and to stop persons from financing any prohibited activity related to weapons of mass destruction and their delivery

Aurangabad has become the first in the country to release the Environmental Insights Explorer (EIE) data from Google.
Under the EIE feature, cities measure the carbon emission sources, conduct analysis and identify strategies to reduce emissions. The EIE feature in India is only available for Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune and Aurangabad is the first city to make the transportation emissions data public.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launches the ‘Financial Inclusion Index (FI-Index)’. In the recent edition of the index, which captures the extent of financial inclusion for March 2022, stands at 56.4 compared to 53.9 in March 2021.
The Reserve Bank of India-designed FI-Index captures the extent of financial inclusion across the country, in consultation with the concerned stakeholders.

Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued Operational Guidelines for implementation of ‘Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0′.
The Integrated Nutrition Support scheme has been approved by the Government of India for implementation during the 15th Finance Commission period 202l-22 to 2025-26. The programme aims to address the challenges of malnutrition in children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers.

The Indian Cotton Federation in association with the Indian Cotton Association is organising a two-day Conference on Cotton Challenges Ahead 2022.
The conference will be held in city of Coimbatore in state of Tamil Nadu. There will be various panel discussions with all stakeholders from different segments of the cotton sector.

India’s table tennis team retained its men’s team championship title with a win over Singapore in the final match in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
The team includes Harmeet Desai Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Sharat Kamal. The Indian mixed badminton team won a Silver Medal in the Games.
