The Union Cabinet approved the signing of an audio-visual co-production treaty between India and Australia, to promote co-production of films.
Audio-visual co-production treaties are documents which facilitate co-production of films between two countries. Under these umbrella agreements, private, quasi-government or governmental agencies enter contracts to produce films together.

Notes:
Malaysia is the host of the bilateral air exercise named ‘Udarashakti’. A contingent of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is participating in the exercise.
The four-day exercise includes various aerial combat drills between the two Air Forces. The first such bilateral Air Force exercise displaying the frontline Sukhoi-30 combat aircraft was conducted in 2018.

Every year, August 13 is celebrated as World Organ Donation Day to create awareness about organ donation.
The day encourages people to donate organs as Organ failure is one of the major issues faced by people across the world. One can register for organ donation after attaining 18 years of age.

The Rajasthan government introduced the ‘Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana’ in 2021-22. Under the scheme, such students are provided free coaching from reputed coaching institutes.
For the current financial year, the state government has allotted Rs 17.15 crore and the number of seats under the scheme has increased to 15,000. It covers students from scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes, minority, economically-backward classes and specially-abled.

The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) announced the launch of the Centre’s DigiYatra initiative. It also rolled out the beta version of its app for Android platforms.
DigiYatra is the passenger processing system based on facial recognition technology. With this technology, all checkpoints would automatically process the entries of the passengers based on the facial recognition system.

Iran announced that it submitted a written response, as a final roadmap to restore its nuclear deal with world powers.
Tehran under its President Ebrahim Raisi has repeatedly tried to blame the United States for the delay in reaching an accord.

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) in partnership with the Cuban government has floated a tender for setting up a 1150 MW solar project in Cuba.
State-owned NTPC is the project management consultant for ISA for setting up the project. The project is part of Cuba’s plan to implement 2100 MW of solar projects. It is also the first in ISA’s broader solar park programme.

Switzerland’s Geneva is the headquarters of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
India has recently contributed 4 lakh US dollars to four Voluntary Trust Funds for global promotion and protection of human rights and support for United Nations Human Rights.

The Union Cabinet has approved the enhancement in the limit of ECLGS scheme from Rs. 4.5 Lakh crore to Rs. 5 Lakh crore.
The additional amount of Rs. 50,000 crore is earmarked only for enterprises in hospitality and related sectors till validity of the scheme, up to 31.3.2023.

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs announce that 500 cities across India have declared themselves as ‘Safai Mitra Surakshit Shehar’.
These cities achieved adequacy institutional capacity, manpower and equipment norms as stipulated by the Ministry and provide safe working conditions for sanitation workers. Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban promotes sustainable sanitation practices.
