The move will provide high-quality education to the youth and equip them with a variety of professional skills in a single place. It will also provide accommodation and other facilities to students and teachers.

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur launched ‘Azadi Quest’, a series of online educational mobile games, in Delhi.
It aims to highlight the story of India’s freedom struggle. The games have been developed in collaboration with Zynga India, as part of the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The first two games highlight milestones and heroes of the freedom struggle.

The European Union has proposed a new deal to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), between Iran and Western countries.
The United States has completed the review of the deal and responded to the EU.  Iran is studying the United States’ response while it had already given its own response to the EU proposal, which was described as ‘reasonable’ by the EU.

India’s first 3D-printed post office is set to come up in Bengaluru within a month’s time. 3D-printed post office is expected to cut construction costs to one-fourth the amount spent on a traditional model.
The Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has given its nod to the project and its construction will be carried out by Larsen & Toubro.

Parivar Kalyan Card scheme is the Uttar Pradesh government’s Family ID plan. It was announced to establish a comprehensive database of the state’s family units and identify beneficiaries for its various schemes.
The PKC will provide a unique 12-digit ID number for each family. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has allowed the state government to link Aadhaar data with the PKC.

As per recent data, Punjab and Haryana are among the top States in terms of food-grain production and yield.
Uttar Pradesh and some western and southern States have the highest production of non-foodgrains. Foodgrain includes rice, wheat, pulses and coarse cereals while non-foodgrains include oilseeds, cotton, sugarcane and jute. The net sown area has reduced in Odisha, Maharashtra and Bihar, while it has gone up in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.

The presence of King Cobras has been confirmed for the first time in Chhattisgarh. There was no known evidence of the longest venomous snake in Chhattisgarh or in any part of Central India before this. But, 31 nesting spots of king cobras have been confirmed in the Korba forest range.
International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List has declared it as ‘vulnerable’. The discovery of the species has raised questions on how climate change might impact the species.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has exempted Boeing 787 aircraft from GPS-aided GEO Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) augmentation system compliance till 2025.
GAGAN is an augmentation system jointly developed by the Airports Authority of India and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). . It is capable of providing navigation services for departure, en-route and landing operations to equipped planes.

India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a notification on standardising the process for issuance of international driving permit (IDP).
Through this amendment, the format, size, colour etc. for IDP has been standardized for issuance across India. Under the Convention on International Road Traffic of 1949 (Geneva Convention), India is required to issue the permit for acceptance in other countries.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated a month-long Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games in Jodhpur.
The Village Olympics is expected to see the participation of 44,000 villages across Rajasthan and 30 lakh people. Out of the 30 lakh participants, 9 lakh are women. The Games include volleyball, hockey, tennis ball cricket and Kho Kho.
