External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar released his new book “Why Bharat Matters” at an event in New Delhi. The book examines India’s transformation in foreign policy over the past decade under PM Modi. It also juxtaposes India’s evolution with the Ramayana. Jaishankar outlined how 2024 will be turbulent due to geopolitics but India can face challenges given its strength.

A book titled “Cyber Encounters” was released recently by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It was written by DGP Uttarakhand Ashok Kumar and former DRDO scientist OP Manocha.
This book has been written after analyzing cyber-crimes and based on true incidents, it will help readers a lot to avoid cyber-crimes.

Pyre, the English translation of writer Perumal Murugan’s Tamil novel Pookkuzhi, has figured in the longlist for the International Booker Prize 2023.
The translator is Aniruddhan Vasudevan, who also translated Perumal Murugan’s Maathorubhagan into English as One Part Woman. This is the first Tamil novel that has found a place in the International Booker longlist.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah released a book titled ‘Revolutionaries- The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom’
The Author of the book is Economist Sanjeev Sanyal who is also a member of Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister.  Some other books authored by him include Land of the Seven Rivers, The Indian Renaissance and The Ocean of Churn.

‘Forks in the Road: My Days at RBI and Beyond’ book is a memoir of Dr C. Rangarajan, the 19th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and a former Member of Parliament.
The book includes his journey as an economist and RBI Governor and sheds lights on some of the hidden truths surrounding India’s economic history including the account of 1991 reforms.

C Rangarajan authored a book titled “Forks in the Road: My Days at RBI and Beyond”. It was published by the Penguin Business (Penguin Group). The book is the memoir of Dr. C. Rangarajan, an Indian economist, a former Member of Parliament, and the 19th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Jokha Alharthi, the first female Omani novelist to be translated into English, has won the Man Booker International prize for her novel Celestial Bodies. Alharthi, the £50,000 award’s first winner to write in Arabic, shares the prize equally with her translator, American academic Marilyn Booth.
