Economist Neelkanth Mishra was appointed as India’s Executive Director at the World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C., United States, on 4 June 2026. His tenure will be for three years from the date he assumes charge, and he will succeed Parameswaran Iyer, a retired Indian Administrative Service officer.
