MOVCDNER scheme

Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region or MOVCDNER scheme was initiated in 2015 to promote commercial organic farming in the North East with an annual outlay of Rs.134 crore during the last 5 years. The scheme led to the organic farming in 74,880 hectares of land. The government has increased the allocation to Rs.200 crore per year with target of covering additional 1 lakh hectares over the period of 3 years.
