Kerala to Launch IT Parks Affiliation Scheme

Kerala to Launch IT Parks Affiliation Scheme

Kerala is set to launch the IT Parks Affiliation Scheme on 6 October 2026 to connect IT companies outside major government-owned IT parks with a state-level technology ecosystem. The scheme will allow eligible firms to access benefits usually extended by IT parks and to register through an affiliation portal opened before the launch.

IT Parks and Technology Ecosystems

IT parks are planned clusters for information technology companies, software services, and allied digital enterprises. In India, such parks are used to provide office infrastructure, connectivity, and common facilities for technology firms. A state-level technology ecosystem can include companies, co-working spaces, private infrastructure, and institutional support networks.

Kerala Tech Brand and Affiliation Portal

The Kerala Tech Brand will be unveiled along with the affiliation scheme at Travancore Hall, Park Centre, Technopark Phase I, in Thiruvananthapuram. The brand is intended to bring companies, co-working spaces, and private technology infrastructure into a connected state-level network. The affiliation portal has already been opened for eligible companies that want to join the affiliated network.

Technopark Phase-III Expansion

The launch event will also include a project for a 2 lakh square feet prefabricated IT building and common recreational areas at the Technopark Phase-III campus. The project has an estimated value of ₹90 crore and is part of Kerala’s IT infrastructure expansion. Prefabricated buildings use factory-made components and are commonly used to reduce construction time.
