India’s food-grain production to reach an all-time high
The second estimate of food-grain production has been released by the Agriculture Ministry. As per the data, total food-grain production is pegged at a record 291.95 million tonne for the 2019-20 crop-year.
It also stated that India is set to harvest a wheat production of 106.21 million tonne in the 2019-20 crop-year due to good rains in the country. Wheat is the major rabi crop of India.
