India to Host SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi

SEMICON India 2026 will be held from September 17 to September 19, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, also called the India International Convention & Expo Centre, in Dwarka, New Delhi. The fifth edition of the semiconductor conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2026.

SEMICON India and the semiconductor ecosystem

SEMICON India is a semiconductor industry conference and exhibition organised in India with participation from global chipmakers, equipment suppliers, and policy stakeholders. The 2026 edition is being jointly organised by the India Semiconductor Mission, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and SEMI, the global electronics supply chain industry association.

The official theme for the 2026 event is “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”. The theme is linked with India’s semiconductor manufacturing, design, packaging, and supply-chain development framework.

Event scale and international participation

The 2026 edition will feature more than 500 exhibitors and over 290 overseas companies. Delegations from more than 40 countries are expected, along with six country-focused pavilions for Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, and the Netherlands.

The exhibition area at Yashobhoomi is planned to cover about 18,000 square metres. A dedicated 360-square-metre workforce development area will also be part of the venue layout.

India Semiconductor Mission and policy framework

The India Semiconductor Mission is the nodal programme for semiconductor and display ecosystem development in India. The Union Cabinet has cleared “ISM 2.0”, a second-phase programme that covers chip design, equipment, materials, fabs, advanced packaging, research and development, and manufacturing talent.

Officials have stated that 5 to 6 semiconductor projects approved under the first phase of the India Semiconductor Mission are expected to enter commercial production by the end of 2026.
