Answer: $48 million
The Indian government has recently signed a financing agreement with World Bank (WB) for $48 million for Nagaland Health Project. The heath project will directly benefit about 600,000 people. It will support and complement existing systems and mechanisms involving communities under the National Health Mission (NHM). The purpose of the project is to improve health services in Nagaland. The closing date of Nagaland health Project is March 31, 2023.
2. What is the India’s GDP growth forecast rate for FY 17, as per updated “World Economic Outlook (WEO)” report of International Monetary Fund (IMF)?
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has downgraded India’s GDP growth forecast for FY 17 to 6.6% against its earlier estimate of 7.6% currencies in its updated flagship publication “World Economic Outlook (WEO)” due to Indian government’s move to demonetize high-value currencies. Apart from this, in the updated WEO report, the IMF has expected India’s growth rate at 7.2% in 2017-18 and 7.7% in 2018-19. The report stated that India’s GDP growth forecast downgraded due to the temporary negative consumption shock induced by cash shortages and payment disruptions associated with the recent currency note withdrawal and exchange initiative.

The world’s biggest cricket stadium will come up at Motera area in Ahmedabad, Gujarat with a seating capacity of 1.10 lakh people. The stadium is designed by world renowned architect firm M/s. Populous and the construction award has been given to Larsen and Turbo (L&T). The stadium will be operational in two years time and will be constructed at a cost of Rs 700 crore. The new stadium will be spread across a 63 acre land in Motera where the existing Motera Stadium has been demolished. The stadium will have 76 corporate boxes, four dressing rooms, a club house and an Olympic-size swimming pool.

India has been ranked 92nd out of 118 nations in the 2017 Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI). The global index measures how countries grow, attract and retain talent. The list is topped by Switzerland, followed by Singapore, United Kingdom (UK), United States, Sweden and Australia. The 2017 report explores the effect of technological change on talent competitiveness and noted that while jobs at all levels continue to be replaced by machines, technology is also creating new opportunities.

The app is a free audio guide and is available in two languages “Tamil and English”. The app will cover world heritage tourist sites like Mamallapuram, Thanjavur Big Temple, Gangaikonda Cholapuram and Darasuram. Through the app, users can listen to interesting stories, facts and trivia about the sites. Beside this, the application also provides other information such as ticket prices, parking details and dress code.
