Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Launches Har Ghar Tiranga 2026

The Ministry of Culture launched the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign on 6 August 2026 in New Delhi. The nationwide campaign is scheduled from 9 August to 17 August 2026 and marks the fifth year of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, which began in 2022 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Har Ghar Tiranga Initiative

Har Ghar Tiranga is a nationwide public participation campaign linked with the Indian national flag, the Tiranga. The initiative began in 2022 and is associated with Independence Day observances in August.

Vande Mataram and Campaign Themes

The 2026 edition is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, India’s National Song. The Ministry of Culture has included mass singing of Vande Mataram and a five-step online tutorial on the Har Ghar Tiranga portal for correct vocal rendition.

Associated Observances and Digital Outreach

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day will be observed on 14 August 2026 as part of the campaign schedule. The Ministry of External Affairs has also announced Suryapath Tiranga, a global relay initiative involving Indian embassies and consulates across 54 countries for digital tracking and broadcasting of flag-hoisting ceremonies from 14 August to 15 August 2026.
