Founder-chairman of INFAM passes away

imageMathew Vadakkemuri (71), founder-chairman of INFAM, died in Kochi. He suffered injuries in a road accident and had been hospitalized.

Fr. Vadakkemuri’s work achieved national consideration as he formed Indian Farmers Movement (INFAM) in 2000 to resolve the crisis in the agrarian sector in the 1990s. He played a pivotal role in the building two main bridges in the hilly Pampavalley area with people’s participation.
