A Command Post Exercise will simulate joint planning and decision-making in a multinational environment. Short training modules will focus on modern warfare tactics. Subject Matter Expert interactions will cover domains such as cyber warfare, joint logistics, and strategic communication.
Strategic Importance for India
Participation strengthens India’s tri-service synergy and interoperability with friendly foreign forces. It supports India’s vision of Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR). The exercise builds experience in multinational operations essential for peacekeeping and coalition tasks. It also deepens strategic ties with Egypt, the US, and other nations.

The exercise encourages defence diplomacy and cooperation with multiple countries. India’s involvement reflects its commitment to collective security and regional peace.
Scale and Scope
More than 7,900 troops from 43 countries are expected to participate. The exercise is held entirely on Egyptian soil and is considered one of the most extensive drills in the region. Activities span live firing, command post exercises, training drills, and expert discussions. This scale demonstrates the strategic importance of multinational military collaboration.
