Ek Paudha Suposhit Beti Ke Nam

The new scheme called ‘Ek Paudha Suposhit Beti Ke Nam’ or ‘A plant on the name of well-nourished daughter’ is initiated in Sirohi district, Rajasthan as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. Under this scheme, the district administration will distribute a drumstick plant upon the birth of a girl child. This is to encourage families to accept girl children, while also creating awareness about healthy food habits and environmental protection.
