e-EPIC programme

On the occasion of the National Voters’ Day, the ECI launched the Electors Photo Identity Cards (e-EPICs) programme to facilitate voters to download the digital version of voter ID. This is the first time for the government to issue digital voter IDs. It eliminates the need for new voter IDs in case of electors’ shifting locations. It is to benefit voters from poll-bound West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry.
