World Economic Situation and Prospects report was released recently by the UN. According to this report, the global economic growth is expected to 2.3 percent in 2023.
The report also expected a 2.5 per cent growth in 2024. The growth rate is still well below the average growth rate in the two decades before the pandemic of 3.1%.

Exercise Jal Rahat is a joint flood relief exercise conducted in Assam to validate joint drills and coordinate preparedness by multi-agency flood relief columns.
It involved the participation of the Indian Army, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and police representatives.

Kapileshwar temple is situated in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar. It is set to be included in the ASI’s protected monuments list.
The 5th-century-old Kapileshwar temple was renovated by Gajapati Kapilendra Dev in the 14th Century and is well known for its carvings and architecture. The Kapilesvara Temple is a fine example of the Kalinga style of architecture, which is known for its elegance and simplicity.

A report titled “Turning off the Tap: How the world can end plastic pollution and create a circular economy” was released recently by UNEP.
According to this report, global plastic pollution can be reduced by 80% by 2040 if deep policy and market shifts are achieved using existing technologies and shift to circular economy.

The discussions ranged from future prospects of domestic aviation industry, modern trends in supply chain management & warehousing, and public procurement initiatives through GeM.
