Notes:
The District Good Governance Index (DGGI) of Arunachal Pradesh was released recently. This is the first DGGI for a north-east State of India. The Index benchmarks governance in all 25 districts of Arunachal Pradesh on 65 indicators under 8 sectors.
It was prepared by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Arunachal Pradesh government.

Notes:
“Parabolic flight” is the term used to describe the procedure in which the aircraft elevates itself from a minimum altitude of 20,000 feet.
The ‘Fried space food experiment’ was conducted by European Space Agency (ESA) researchers by carrying out parabolic flight.

The Haryana Government recently launched the integrated Water Resources Action Plan-2023-25. It will help strengthen water conservation efforts in the state.
The plan aims to meet the twin challenges of water depletion and waterlogging. 3.14 lakh acres of area will be covered under crop diversification, which will save 1.05 lakh crore litres (7.6 percent) of water.

The Gaula River, also known as the Gola River, is an approximately 500 km long river in India that originates in the Lesser Himalayas.
Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has recently permitted Uttarakhand government to continue mining work in Gaula river in Nainital district till June 30.

The 3-day National Conference on Recent Advances in School Education commenced at Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar in Punjab.
It highlighted the best practice in the implementation of NEP 2020. It was organised by Sarvhitkari Shiksha Samiti, Punjab in collaboration with NIT Jalandhar.
