The Perito Moreno Glacier, also called the ‘White Giant’, is located near El Calafate in Santa Cruz, Argentina. It lies in the Andes Mountains of South America and is part of the Los Glaciares National Park, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site. The glacier was formed about 18,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. It is now rapidly crumbling due to global warming and rising temperatures.

The Department of Posts has launched DHRUVA, which stands for Digital Hub for Reference and Unique Virtual Address. It marks a major step toward building a nationwide Digital Address Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). DHRUVA provides a geo-coded, standard, and interoperable digital address system. It aims to make address-related services simple, secure, and consent-based across government and private sectors. The core idea is Address-as-a-Service (AaaS), which allows users to manage their address data efficiently and with control.

The Archaeological Survey of India recently found one of the earliest rock grooves in Kanniyakumari district, made during the Neolithic Age to sharpen weapons. The Neolithic Age, also known as the New Stone Age, was the last phase of prehistoric human development. It marked the shift from hunting and gathering to farming and animal domestication. This period began around 10,000 BCE during the Holocene Epoch. The Neolithic Revolution started in the Fertile Crescent in the Middle East and later spread to India and other regions.

The Telangana State government recently declared the tiger corridor linking Kawal Tiger Reserve and Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra as the ‘Kumram Bheem Conservation Reserve’. Kawal Tiger Reserve is located in Telangana along the banks of the Godavari River and lies in the Deccan Peninsula-Central Highlands. It is part of the Sahyadri Mountain Ranges and lies at the southern-most tip of the Central Indian Tiger Landscape. It shares ecological connections with Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra and Indravati Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh.

Recently, the President of India presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2025 to nurses at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The National Florence Nightingale Award was started in 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is a prestigious national honour given to outstanding nursing personnel from Central Government, State and Union Territories, and Voluntary Organizations. The award recognizes the meritorious services of nurses in hospitals, communities, education, or administration. The award includes a Certificate of Merit, a Cash Award of ₹1,00,000, and a medal.
