Anganwadi workers are facing difficulties in registering beneficiaries on the Poshan Tracker app due to technical glitches and poor internet connectivity. Poshan Tracker app was launched on 1st March 2021 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. It was developed by the National eGovernance Division. It is a mobile-based digital platform for Anganwadi Centers (AWCs), Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), and enrolled beneficiaries. It supports the Poshan Abhiyaan mission to improve nutrition services and fight malnutrition.

Researchers at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram recently detected circularly polarised radio emission near a young protostar about 4,500 light-years away. A protostar is the earliest stage in star formation, formed from a collapsing giant molecular cloud in the interstellar medium. As the cloud collapses, gravitational energy turns into heat, warming the forming protostar. The protostar stage lasts from 100,000 to 10 million years depending on the star’s mass. It begins with a dense molecular cloud core and ends with a pre-main-sequence star.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, recently promoted the Trade Connect ePlatform at two major Business-to-Business (B2B) trade exhibitions. Trade Connect ePlatform is a digital initiative of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It aims to transform international trade for Indian exporters, especially Medium, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It acts as a one-stop hub for international trade-related services and information. It connects exporters, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs with Indian Missions Abroad, Export Promotion Councils, and other government agencies.

India virtually hosted the 4th BIMSTEC Disaster Management Exercise from July 14–15, 2025, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). It was conducted by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of India as a Tabletop Exercise. Disaster management professionals from all BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Member States participated. The exercise focused on improving regional preparedness for cyclones and floods. The exercise aimed to strengthen cooperation in disaster preparedness, response, and resilience across the Bay of Bengal region.

Recently, the Defence Secretary flagged off mountaineering expeditions to Mount Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro at an event held in South Block, New Delhi. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain and the world’s largest free-standing mountain. It is located in northeastern Tanzania near the Kenya border and stretches around 80 km east to west. Kilimanjaro is a stratovolcano made up of three cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.
