Anjali Singh becomes India’s first female military diplomat

Wing Commander Anjali Singh  has become the India’s first female Indian Armed Forces (IAF) Officer to be posted as a military diplomat in any of the Indian missions abroad. She joined the Indian Embassy in Russia as the Deputy Air Attache. Singh is an aeronautical engineer who served with fighter squadrons during her 17-year military career. An air attache is an Air Force officer who is part of a diplomatic mission and  typically represents the chief of his home air force in the foreign country where he or she serves.
