When were the draft Constitution published and how long the Constituent Assembly sat?

A drafting committee of 7 members under the chairmanship of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, was set up on august 29, 1947. The draft Constitution was published in January, 1948. The Constituent Assemble sat for 2 years, 11 months and 18 days. It held 11 sessions. As many as 76, 35 amendments were proposed and 2,473 were actually discussed in the assembly.
