Appropriation Bill

An appropriation bill or running bill is a bill that is introduced in the parliament together with the budget seeking the approval and authorization to the government spend money. It is a bill that sets money aside for specific spending. In most democracies, approval of the legislature is necessary for the government to spend money. This is a permission to spend the amount from the consolidated fund of India.
