Varanasi will once again become the meeting ground of North and South India as it hosts the “”fourth edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 4.0)”” from “”December 2 to 15, 2025″”. The two-week event will bring together over “”1,400 delegates from Tamil Nadu””, representing diverse walks of life, to celebrate the deep cultural and linguistic bond between “”Kashi and Tamil Nadu””.

Theme and Vision of KTS 4.0

Themed “”“Let us Learn Tamil – Karpom Tamil,””” this year’s event promotes linguistic unity under the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”. Highlights of the 2025 Edition

KTS 4.0 will feature seven delegate groups — students, teachers, writers and media professionals, artisans, women, agricultural experts, and spiritual scholars. Participants will engage in cultural exchanges, exhibitions, lectures, and heritage tours in Varanasi. A major attraction will be the “”Agasthya Expedition””, a symbolic journey from “”Tenkasi to Kashi””, showcasing Tamil Nadu’s contribution to India’s civilisational heritage. The event will conclude with a “”valedictory ceremony in Rameswaram on December 15″”.

Continuing a Cultural Legacy

The Kashi Tamil Sangamam, conceptualised by “”Prime Minister Narendra Modi””, began in “”2022″” as an initiative of the Ministry of Education to revive ancient connections between the Tamil and Kashi cultures. Each edition has built upon the success of the previous one — from the inaugural event at Banaras Hindu University to KTS 3.0, which focused on the legacy of Sage Agasthyar. The 2025 edition continues this legacy, promoting exchange between traditional knowledge and contemporary learning.
