Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link

The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) is a project involving 272 km long railway line between Udhampur and Baramulla. It connects Kashmir valley with the rest of India. Recently, the Railway Minister Piyush Goyal reviewed the progress of this national project. Of the 272 km of the USBRL project, 161 km railway line has been completed and commissioned. The work on Katra-Banihal section, which mostly involves tunnel construction, is currently underway.
