U.S. Approves Sale of 48 F-35 Jets to Saudi Arabia

The United States State Department approved the potential sale of 48 F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighters to Saudi Arabia on 17 September 2026. The proposed package is valued at about $24.3 billion and includes 48 F-35A aircraft, 49 Pratt & Whitney F135 engines, support equipment, and training.

F-35 Lightning II
