“Traffic Crash Injuries and Disabilities: The Burden on Indian Society” is report prepared by the World Bank in collaboration with the NGO Save Life Foundation. The study revealed that more than 75 per cent of poor households in the country faced income decline due to road traffic crash. Poor lost finances worth 7 months of household income. This is less than the rich’s one-month household income.
