Air Marshal BS Dhanoa to be new IAF chief

Air Marshal BS Dhanoa has been appointed as the next chief of IAF. He will take over from the present IAF chief Arup Raha from December 31. Dhanoa got commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF in June 1978. He has vast experience serving in various squadrons of IAF and also in the Intelligence Directorate of Air Headquarters. Dhanoa is a Kargil war veteran and has been awarded the Yudh Seva Medal after Kargil. He will be the third Sikh to head the IAF after Arjan Singh and Dilbag Singh.
