Commission for Air Quality Management

The Commission for Air Quality Management is a statutory authority that was set up under the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Ordinance, 2020. The commission was constituted as an overarching body to monitor the multiple bodies monitoring air pollution in Delhi NCR region. It consists of a chairperson, members from various ministries, representatives from the states, experts from central pollution control board, ISRO, etc. Recently, the commission was shut down as the ordinance had lapsed.
