TGR63

TGR63 is a molecule developed by scientists from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, an autonomous institute of the DST. It is the lead candidate that is capable of disrupting the mechanism through which neurons become dysfunctional in Alzheimer’s Disease. This has the potential to halt or cure the leading cause of dementia. The new molecule is capable of minimising impact of Amyloid Beta toxicity, which disrupts neuron cell functions.
