Tesla Opens First Charging Station in Gurugram

Tesla has inaugurated its first electric vehicle charging station in Gurugram, marking a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to strengthen India’s electric mobility infrastructure. Located at DLF Horizon Centre, the facility underlines Tesla’s intent to build a reliable and accessible charging ecosystem to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles in the country.

The approach is intended to ensure easy access, reduced range anxiety, and seamless adoption of electric vehicles across urban centres.

Advanced Features of the Gurugram Facility

The Gurugram charging station is equipped with four V4 Superchargers offering peak charging speeds of up to 250 kilowatts. These enable rapid recharging for users requiring quick turnaround times. In addition, the site includes three destination chargers rated at 11 kilowatts, designed for longer stays such as office visits or leisure activities. Tesla stated that its latest Superchargers can add up to 275 kilometres of range to a Model Y in just 15 minutes, significantly reducing charging downtime.
