Sugandha Shaktipith temple

Sugandha Shaktipith temple is a temple dedicated to Goddess Sunanda and is located in Shikarpur in Barishal district of Bangladesh. It is an important pilgrimage destination for the followers of the Shakti sect of Hinduism. It is one of the 51 ‘Shakti Pith’ temples. According to the legend, the Shakti Pith temples mark the sites where the body parts of Goddess Sati fell. Most of these sites are in India. Others are in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and China.
