Sudan’s president Omar al-Bashir forced out in Coup

Omar al-Bashir, Sudan’s President has been deposed and that a military council would run the country for a two-year transitional period. He is forced out by the military after 30 years of autocratic rule in a move provoked by months of anti-government protests. Mr. Bashir had been put under house arrest. This move has become momentous for Arab-speaking world and Africa which has marked the example of the military expelling an autocrat after extended protests by young citizens.
