Stronger hurricanes might activate climate change

A study says that Hurricane Maria that killed 3000 people in 2017, have changed the cover of the forest. Certain species have started to decline after the hurricane. The single hurricane killed twice as many trees as the 2 hurricanes Hugo and Georges. In the past, the larger trees like mahogany were more resilient to storms. However, lately due to climate chage they are declining adding to climate change.
