Sloth bear

Sloth bear is a bear species found in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. It is also known as the labiated bear and it feeds on ants and fruits. It is classified as a vulnerable species under the IUCN Red List. They are threatened by habitat loss. They were used as performing animals in the past. The food wastes in Mount Abu is attracting sloth bears to tourist destinations in Rajasthan.
