SFDR technology

A flight demonstration based on Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFDR) technology was successfully conducted by the DRDO recently. SFDR technology will provide a technical edge for DRDO while developing long-range air-to-air missiles. Ramjet powered missiles have greater range and a higher average speed when compared to missiles powered by solid propellants. They can carry more warheads as they use atmospheric oxygen and don’t require oxidizer.
