Saudi Arabia to Host HCI Conference 2026 in Riyadh
Saudi Arabia has announced the third edition of the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) Conference 2026, scheduled to take place in Riyadh on 3–4 May under the theme “The Human Code.” The United Kingdom has been designated as the Country of Honor, highlighting deepening bilateral cooperation in education, workforce development and economic collaboration.
The announcement coincides with renewed high-level engagement between the two nations and reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader push to strengthen global partnerships in human capital development.
Held Under Crown Prince’s Patronage
The conference will be organised under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, who also chairs the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) Committee. The initiative forms part of Saudi Vision 2030’s long-term strategy to diversify the economy and build a knowledge-based society.
The HCI platform aims to position the Kingdom as a global hub for dialogue on education reform, labour market transformation and future skills.
United Kingdom Named Country of Honor
The United Kingdom’s selection as Country of Honor underscores strategic cooperation between Riyadh and London. Both nations have expanded collaboration in higher education, vocational training and economic policy. The partnership builds on initiatives such as the “Skills of the Future” programme launched at the 2025 HCI Conference to enhance workforce readiness and innovation-driven growth.
Officials from both countries have described the designation as a continuation of long-standing educational and commercial ties.
