Ravidas Jayanti
Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Saint Guru Ravidas. It is celebrated on Mugh Purnima, the full moon day in the month of Magh. This year, 644th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas is observed. It is observed as a national holiday in states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. Ravidas is a poet-saint of the Bhakti movement. He is the founder of Ravidassia religion in 15-16 century CE.
