Rakhi Garhi

Rakhi Garhi is a pre- Indus Valley Civilization site located in a village in Haryana. It is a 6,500 BCE site located on the river plain of Ghaggar and Hakra. Two sites, Rakhi-Khas and Rakhi-Shahpur are together known as Rakhigarhi. The 7 mounds of the site are located on the right bank of the palaeo-channel of the extinct Drishadvati River. It is one of the largest Harappan sites in India. It is being developed as one of the 5 iconic archaeological sites.
