Prime Minister (PM) Vishwakarma Scheme has disbursed loans of over ₹290 crore to 32,000 artisans in Gujarat since September 2023. Loan sanctions have crossed ₹390 crore for more than 43,000 beneficiaries. Three-tier verification is completed for 2.14 lakh artisans, while 1.81 lakh have received skill training. PM Vishwakarma is a central sector scheme launched by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. It preserves heritage crafts while giving artisans access to modern tools, credit, and markets. The scheme covers 18 traditional trades like carpentry, blacksmithing, pottery, tailoring, masonry, toy making, and basket weaving.

Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) completes seven years since its launch on September 23, 2018 from Ranchi. It is the world’s largest government-funded health assurance scheme, covering over 55 crore beneficiaries. It provides ₹5 lakh annual health cover per family for cashless and paperless treatment across India. The scheme is described as a people’s movement transforming India’s public healthcare, ensuring top-quality and affordable medical services.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana on 25th September 2025, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The scheme provides Rs 2,100 per month to eligible women to enhance economic and social empowerment. About 20 lakh women aged 23–60 from families with annual income up to Rs 1 lakh will benefit. The scheme has an annual budget of Rs 5,000 crore for 2025–26.

The Uttar Pradesh government recently warned District Magistrates to complete farmer registration under the Agri-Stack scheme within the given time or face strict action. The Agri-Stack scheme is a digital foundation created to provide data-centric services for improving Indian agriculture and empowering farmers. It integrates farmer data, land records, and scheme benefits on a centralized digital platform. The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare with support from State Revenue and Agriculture departments. It acts as a foundational digital layer that allows government and private entities to deliver tailored services using accurate and updated farmer data.

The Centre recently issued operational guidelines for 72,300 public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations with an outlay of ₹2,000 crore under the ₹10,900 crore PM E-DRIVE scheme. The PM E-DRIVE (Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement) scheme was launched in October 2024 and will run till March 31, 2026. The aim of scheme is to accelerate EV adoption, create charging infrastructure, support public transport, and build a strong EV manufacturing ecosystem. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is the nodal agency for charging demand aggregation and development of a Unified EV Super App offering real-time charger status, slot booking, payments, and deployment tracking

The Government of India has invited applications for research and innovation projects under the Promotion of Research and Innovation in Pharma-MedTech Sector (PRIP) scheme. The scheme was launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. It was notified in 2023 with a total financial outlay of ₹5000 crore. The objective is to make India a globally competitive and innovation-driven hub in the Pharma-MedTech sector. The scheme focuses on industry-academia linkage to strengthen Research and Development (R&D) in priority areas. It also aims to inculcate a culture of quality research and nurture India’s scientific talent pool.

The Goa Government launched the Goa Majhe Ghar Scheme 2025. The scheme aims to regularise houses on government and community lands and grant ownership rights to long-time residents. Certificates, orders, and sanads were distributed under Goa Land Revenue Code, Goa Regularisation of Unauthorized Constructions Act, and Forest Rights Act. Scheme has given ownership rights to 11 lakh people, benefiting nearly half of Goa’s population. Mhaje Ghar Yojana ensures dignity, stability, and legal ownership for Goan families.

The Assam government launched the Shraddhanjali Scheme to provide complete assistance for dignified transportation of mortal remains of people from Assam who die outside the State. The scheme was approved by the State Cabinet on June 22, 2025 and will be implemented by the Special Branch of Assam Police. Families can report deaths through designated helpline numbers, the Chief Secretary, or the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The scheme covers students and youth in low-income jobs outside Assam, ensuring logistical, legal, and procedural support for repatriation. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called it a humanitarian initiative to reduce financial and emotional burden.

As of September 2025, Public Sector Banks (PSBs) sanctioned over 5.79 lakh loans worth ₹10,907 crore under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY). It aims to provide free electricity to households via solar rooftop installations. It was launched in February, 2024. The scheme offers 60% subsidy for systems up to 2 kW and 40% subsidy for 2–3 kW systems, capped at 3 kW. It promotes Model Solar Villages and incentivizes Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs). It is implemented by National Programme Implementation Agency (NPIA) and State Implementation Agencies (SIAs).

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a special Krishi programme at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He launched two major schemes worth ₹35,440 crore to strengthen Indian agriculture. The PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (₹24,000 crore) aims to boost productivity, crop diversification, irrigation, storage, and farm credit across 100 districts. The Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses (₹11,440 crore) focuses on raising pulse production, expanding cultivation by 35 lakh hectares, and ensuring procurement and value chain support.
