The two-day conference will have six thematic sessions with topics focusing on LiFE, Combating Climate Change ; PARIVESH -Single Window System for Integrated Green Clearances ; Forestry Management ; Prevention and Control of Pollution; Wildlife Management ; Plastics and Waste Management.

India has exported the first consignment of plant-based meat products from Kheda district of Gujarat to California in the United States.
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Authority (APEDA) facilitated the export of the first consignment of plant-based meat products under the Vegan Food category. APEDA has planned to promote a variety of vegan food products to Australia, Israel, New Zealand, and others.

President Droupadi Murmu conferred the National Service Scheme NSS Awards for the year 2020-21 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Department of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports confers every year the National Service Scheme Award. A total of forty-two Awards were given to two Universities, ten NSS Units, their Programme Officers, and 30 NSS Volunteers.

Ageas Federal Life Insurance (AFLI) has become the first life insurance company in India to have a 74% stake held by a foreign partner.
Belgium-based Ageas Insurance International recently completed the acquisition of the 25% stake in the life insurance joint venture (JV) from IDBI Bank. With this, shareholding of Ageas in the JV rose to 74% from the earlier-held 49%. Federal Bank continues to hold a 26% stake in the life insurer, while IDBI Bank exited as a shareholder.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released the ‘Encyclopedia of Tribes in Odisha’. The five volumes of the encyclopedia were published by Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute (SCSTRTI) and Odisha State Tribal Museum.
The edited volumes contain 3800 pages and 418 research articles covering all 62 tribal communities and 13 particularly vulnerable tribal groups. The book will be a repository for academicians, researchers and policymakers.

NASA’s DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) mission successfully crashes spacecraft into asteroid Dimorphos.
In the world’s first planetary defense technology demonstration – successfully impacted its asteroid target. With a diameter of about 525 feet Dimorphos is the smaller of two asteroids in a double-asteroid system. Dimorphos orbits the larger asteroid Didymos every 11 hours and 55 minutes

Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has found more than 100 remains including largest Varha sculpture of 9th century to 15th century in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserves in Madhya Pradesh.
Twenty-six caves of 2nd Century CE to 5th century CE, remains of Mahayana sect of Buddhism like chaitya shaped doors and cells containing stone beds were found. Other findings include stone games, water filter structure, coins and Brahmi inscriptions.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has organized a National SC-ST hub conclave in Gujarat
The program included participation of CPSEs like NTPC Ltd., Food Corporation of India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Indian Oil Corporation Limited, financial institutions such as State Bank of India and Yes Bank.

Hurricane Ian slashed the US state of Florida, as the storm brought catastrophic storm surges, wind and flooding.
A huge search and rescue effort is being undertaken in Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. At least 10 people have died in the state but as per officials, the death toll could rise considerably.

Adani Green Energy has commissioned the world’s largest wind-solar power plant of 600 MW capacity in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
The plant has a power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project consists of 600 MW solar and 150 MW wind plants. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved acquisition by Adani Power of share capital of Diliigent Power and DB Power.
