The ‘Grand Prix of Bharat’ is scheduled to be held in 2023 at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. The international motorcycling federation (FIM) publishes the calendar of Grandprix events every year.

Edible oil trade associations from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal announced the setting up of Asian Palm Oil Alliance (APOA).
These are the five major palm oil importing countries in South Asia. Atul Chaturvedi, President, Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) has been named the first chairman of APOA. The aim of the association is to gain bargaining power and make imports sustainable.

The IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2022 was topped by Gautam Adani and family, with an estimated wealth of ₹10,94,400 crore. Mukesh Ambani and family has been named in the second place with ₹7,94,700 crore, followed by Cyrus Poonawalla and family.
Founder of Nykaa – Falguni Nayar has overtaken Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, 69, to become the richest self-made Indian woman.

As part of Operation ‘Megha Chakra’, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out searches at 56 locations in 19 states and a UT in connection with two cases of circulation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online.
The recent searches were based on inputs from Interpol Singapore and intelligence obtained during Operation Carbon, conducted last year against peddlers of CSAM on Internet.

The Asian Development Bank announced a USD 14 billion fund to fight food security crisis in Asia Pacific.
ADB has hosted its 55th annual meeting at its headquarters in Manila in a hybrid mode. The Asia-Pacific region has been threatened by adverse climate and hit by Russia-Ukraine war choking supply lines, triggering food prices to rise.

Uttar Pradesh has been awarded Ayushmann Utkrishta award 2022 for adding various health facilities to health facility register.
It is the best performing state in the country with 28728 Health facilities added to National health facility register. It is also the second best State in creating Ayushmann Bharat health account (ABHA) with almost 2 crores ABH Accounts.

President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Integrated Cryogenic Engine Manufacturing Facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru.
The facility houses over 70 hi-tech equipment and testing facilities for manufacturing cryogenic (CE20) and semi-cryogenic (SE2000) engines of Indian rockets.  In 2013, HAL signed an MoU with ISRO for setting up the facility for manufacturing cryogenic engine modules at HAL.

Notes:
The Calcutta High Court declared the ‘Duare Ration Scheme’ of West Bengal government is ultra vires to the National Food Security Act, 2013 and is legally void.
The scheme was introduced by the state government in November, 2021, for delivery of food grains under public distribution system at the doorsteps of beneficiaries. AS per the High Court, State Government transgressed the limit of delegation by obliging the Fair Price Shop dealers to distribute the rations to the beneficiaries at their doorstep in absence of any authority.

The Union Government approved issuance of 22nd tranche of electoral bonds that will open for sale on October 1, ahead of assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
State Bank of India (SBI) is the only authorised bank to issue electoral bonds. Sale of the first batch of electoral bonds was made in the year 2018.

Notes:
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a proposal for the redevelopment of three major railway stations — New Delhi, Ahmedabad and CSMT Mumbai.
With an approximate total investment of nearly Rs 10,000 crore, the stations will be redeveloped using Green Building Techniques with solar energy, water conservation, and recycling and improved tree cover. They will be integrated with other modes of transportation like metro and bus. The total cost of redevelopment of 199 stations including these three major stations is Rs 60,000 crores.
