The Uttarakhand education department recently launched an e-governance portal named ‘Samarth’, to make the education system more transparent in the state.
The portal will provide all administrative and educational updates including information about entrance exams, salary, appointments from state universities and public schools.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the ‘Kartavya Path’ at India Gate, New Delhi.
Kartavya Path will exhibit beautified landscapes, lawns, added green spaces, refurbished canals, improved parking spaces and new exhibition panels. It also includes a number of sustainability features like solid waste management, recycling of used water energy-efficient lighting systems, among others.

Himalaya Diwas is celebrated every year on 9th September in the state of Uttarakhand, with an aim to conserve Himalayan ecosystem and region. It was officially declared as Himalaya Day in 2015 by the state’s then Chief Minister.
In 2014, the then Chief Minister Harish Rawat officially declared September 9 as ‘Himalaya Diwas’, to be celebrated across the State to spread the message of conservation of the Himalayan ecosystems.

The Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 will take place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar and at the Bisra Munda Stadium in Rourkela in January, 2023.
The draw of the tournament was held recently in Bhubaneswar. Belgium is the reigning champion of the world cup, as it defeated Netherlands in 2018 to win its first ever title. The 16 participating teams, including India, Japan, England and Australia, will be divided among four pools.

A committee headed by retired Supreme Court judge Ranjana Prakash Desai was set up by the Uttarakhand government to prepare a draft of Uniform Civil Code.
The Committee has recently launched a web portal to invite feedback and suggestions from people. People of the state can log into the portal and share their suggestions, grievances and complaints.

‘National Forest Martyrs Day’ is observed on September 11 to pay tribute to the people who sacrificed their lives to protect forests and wildlife.
In 2013, Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change declared that the day in honour of forests and those who work to protect them. It was on the same day in 1730, the infamous Khejarli massacre took place, where Bishnoi community offered their lives to save Khejarli trees from being cut down.

The Indian Army is conducting a 20-day long exercise named Parvat Prahar. It is conducted amid the disengagement process between India and China in the Gogra-Hot Springs area on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande reviewed exercise Parvat Prahar. The disengagement process follows the talks between the corps commanders of India and China.

Agnikul is the first company in the world to design a rocket engine that can be printed using 3D printing.
AgniKul Cosmos is an Indian aerospace manufacturer based in National Center for Combustion R&D of IIT Madras, Chennai. The company has secured patent for design and manufacturing of its single-piece rocket engines. ‘Agnilet’ is the world’s first single-piece 3D printed rocket engine fully designed and manufactured in India.

Uttar Pradesh government is set to provide a unique farm ID similar to Aadhar number to the farmers, which will be linked with Aadhar to provide benefits of all government schemes.
Uttar Pradesh government will also start providing Family ID. Those families, who are not getting any kind of benefits, will be brought into the ambit of this scheme.
