Chief Justice of India, Justice Uday Umesh Lalit recently inaugurated NALSA’s Centre for Citizen Services at Jaisalmer house in New Delhi.
It will provide free Legal Services to the weaker sections of the society without any hassle. The Executive Chairman of the National Legal Service Authority, (NALSA) is Dr. Justice D.Y.Chandrachud.

Notes:
The Tamil Nadu government launched the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, also known as the ‘Pudhumai Pen Scheme’.
It provides a monthly grant of Rs 1,000 to female students to pursue a bachelor’s degree, diploma, ITI, or any other recognised course. Those who attended government schools from Class 6 to 12 will be eligible for the financial aid.

Rajnath Singh is the first Indian Defence Minister to visit Mongolia. He was gifted a majestic horse by the Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
Seven years ago, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a similar gift from the leadership of this country. The Defence Minister named the majestic white horse as ‘Tejas’.

The National Conference on agriculture for Rabi campaign 2022-23 was inaugurated by the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
It included discussions on crops, prospects of further progress, challenges, technologies, solutions and government’s plans and processes. The production of food grains in the country is estimated at 3157 lakh tones, which is higher by 50 lakh tonnes than 2020-21.

Former Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba (retd) has been conferred with the prestigious Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera) honour by the President of Singapore Halimah Yacob.
It is also called the Meritorious Service Medal (Military).  During the tenure of Admiral Lanba, the Indian Navy hosted the 25th edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) at Visakhapatnam in 2018.

The first EU-India Green Hydrogen Forum was organized jointly by the Delegation of the European Union and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
It was launched in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Hydrogen Europe. The event brought together EU-India businesses to discuss joint projects on hydrogen and international hydrogen trade.

A report has been prepared by the International Forum for Environment, Sustainability & Technology (iForest) with the support of the World Bank Group.
As per the report, India needs to train at least 10 lakh people in the next five years for air quality management and 2.2 million jobs are required to manage air pollution in the country. It highlights the need of a national-level programme for capacity building to effectively tackle the problem of air pollution.

The plan to deal with the death of the head of state in Britain was termed Operation London Bridge. Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 after reigning for 70 years.
The plan lists the procedures that explain moments after her death and culminate with her funeral 10 days later. The part of the plan for her death at her castle in Scotland was codenamed ‘Operation Unicorn’.

‘World First Aid Day 2022’ is celebrated every year on the second Saturday of September. This year, World First Aid Day 2022 falls on 10 September 2022 and is celebrated under the theme ‘Lifelong First Aid’.
The day is observed to promote the significance of first aid and create awareness on a global level about how it can save precious lives.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented BusinessLine’s Changemaker of the Year award to Bharat Biotech. Mithali Raj, the veteran women cricket player of Indian team, who brought laurels to the country was presented the iconic changemaker of the year award.
Institutions including DeHaat and Zerodha, as well as achievers including Ramesh Raliya, Prachi Shevagaonkar and Akash Singh  were among the winners.
