The Logistics Division of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has created a user-interactive dashboard which allows authorized user associations to lodge issues or suggestions for the government.
The portal will be launched for all authorised associations in the sector soon. This new digital initiative aims to reduce paper correspondence of industry associations and trade bodies. They can highlight issues related to logistics services to the government.

According to the latest NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau) report, the highest number of sedition cases was recorded in Andhra Pradesh (29).
76 cases for sedition were registered in 2021 in the country under IPC Section 124A.  In 2020, no sedition case was recorded in the state of Andhra Pradesh. There were 1,604 arrests under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act [UAPA].

Samvatsari Day is a traditional festival celebrated in Shwetambar sect of Jainism. It is celebrated as Kshamavani in the Digambara sect of Jainism.
Samvatsari is observed to seek forgiveness for all thoughts, words or actions that hurt people knowingly or unknowingly. On this day, people seek Uttam Kshama (apologies) and send messages of Micchami Dukkadam, which translates to ‘May all evil that has been done be forgiven’.

Higher education sector regulator University Grants Commission (UGC) has come up with the e-Samadhan-Online Grievance Registering and Monitoring System which is a digital platform for stakeholders to identify and apply for grievances, feedback or queries
Through the centralised portal, UGC will be able to monitor and resolve all grievances of students and staff in universities through a centralised portal called `e-Samadhan`.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE), has been conferred with the coveted Green Channel Certification by Ministry of Defence.
It is one of the leading Public Sector Undertaking and Mini-Ratna Category 1 Shipyard. The certification was conferred for supply of Portable Steel Bridges (Bailey Type) of various configurations to Indian Army.

The ‘Scheme for Promotion of Bulk Drug Parks’ is run by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, to support the Bulk Drugs manufacturing in the country. It was notified in 2020, with a financial outlay of Rs 3,000 crore.
The Department of Pharmaceuticals has approved the proposals of three states, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, to set up Bulk Drug Parks and aims to bring down the cost of manufacturing bulk drugs through the creation of world-class common infrastructure facilities.

Ramon Magsaysay Award is also regarded as Asia’s version of the Nobel Prize. Named after the late Philippine president, it is presented annually to individuals or organizations in Asia who undertakes selfless service and transformational actions.
This year’s award has been presented to four people across the world for their selfless service to the people of Asia.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has asked the West Bengal government to pay Rs 3,500 crore as ‘compensation’ for violating the norms for the management of solid and liquid waste.
The Bengal government has the option to seek a review by the tribunal or move the Supreme Court. The bench has asked the state to deposit the amount within two months dedicated to solid waste management in the state and it will be operated according to the directions of the Chief Secretary.

Every year on 5 September, the International Day of Charity is observed to mark the death anniversary of Mother Teresa.
She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her efforts in social service and fight against poverty. International Day of Charity was created with the aim of inspiring people to engage in charitable and volunteering work.

Former USA President Barack Obama won the best narrator Emmy Award for his Netflix documentary series ‘Our Great National Parks’.
Barack Obamas’ production company, Higher Ground, is behind the series on national parks around the world. The former President has already received two Grammy awards. He becomes only the second US president in history to win an Emmy.
