National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) released the guidelines for ‘Early identification and intervention for mental health problems in school going children and adolescents’.
The guidelines include setting up of a mental health advisory panel, school based mental health programme and pedagogical support to ensure mental well- being of students and engaging parents.

Notes:
An MoU was signed by CEO of Indore Smart City with Pataa Navigations for implementing a fully digital addressing system. With this, Indore will become the country’s first Smart City with ‘Smart Addresses’.
Pataa is a brief and unique code that will help the user find specific geo-tagged location. Pataa Navigations and ISRO have collaborated to build a strong digital addressing system for the nation.

Notes:
National Sports Development Fund NSDF of the Department of Sports signed Memorandum of Understandings MoUs with NTPC and REC Ltd, two major PSUs under Ministry of Power.
NTPC made a commitment for Rs 115 crores towards Archery while REC Limited made a commitment for Rs 100 Crores for 3 years towards Women’s hockey, Boxing and athletics.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin launched the breakfast scheme for government school students from class 1 to 5 in Madurai.
The Chief Minister announced that several studies have concluded that breakfast programmes led to improvement in learning skills and school attendance. The first-ever noon meal scheme was launched in 1922 in Chennai by the Justice Party, the precursor to the Dravidian movement.

The Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2021, also known as the anti-conversion bill, was passed by the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in December 2021
The bill was recently passed by the upper house in Karnataka, despite opposition from the opposition parties. The government had earlier passed an Ordinance to stop forcible conversions.

The West Bengal Assembly passed the ‘West Bengal Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Identification) (Amendment) Bill, 2022’.
The bill seeks to provide the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities of the state with opportunities to appeal against cancellation, refusal and revocation of caste certificates.

Indian private sector bank Federal Bank was ranked 63rd on the Best Workplaces in Asia 2022 list. It becomes the only bank in India to be listed by Great Place to Work, the international authority on workplace culture.
The report assesses employee experiences of trust, innovation, company values and leadership. Companies are also evaluated on how well they are creating workplace experience, inclusive of all employees.

World Alzheimer’s Day is being observed on September 21. This year the theme for world Alzheimer’s month 2022 is ‘Know dementia, Know Alzheimer’s’.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. It is a progressive brain disease which results in loss of memory and thinking skills. It destroys the brain cells leading to memory loss, memory changes, erratic behaviour, and loss of body functions.

The Reserve Bank of India has asked Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) with deposits above Rs 10,000 crore to appoint a chief compliance officer (CCO) by April 01, 2023.
This decision aims to improve corporate governance in these banks, which are categorised as tier-4 entities. For tier-3 banks with deposits above Rs 1,000 crore and less than Rs 10,000 crore, deadline to appoint CCO is till October 01, 2023. For UCBs under tier-1 (with deposits up to Rs 100 crore) and tier-2 (with deposits more than Rs 100 crore and up to Rs 1,000 crore) the existing norms will continue.

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat declared Andaman and Nicobar Islands as India’s first Swachh Sujal Pradesh.
The Minister handed over the certificate to Lieutenant Governor Admiral DK Joshi declaring the UT as India’s first “Clean and Sujal Pradesh”. All the villages of the state have been certified as Har Ghar Jal and ODF (Open defecation free) Plus.
