The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bengaluru has been declared India’s best business school for Masters’ students by Financial Times in its annual Masters in Management (MiM) list.
IIM (B) was ranked 31 in the global list, which also included SP Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai and IIM Lucknow at 44 and 64 positions.

Bhopal hosted the ‘Cyber Crime Investigations and Intelligence Summit’ (CCIS -2022). More than 6,000 participants participated in the hybrid summit.
The objective of the summit is knowledge sharing, examining new aspects in cyber crime investigations and the case studies. The summit will also discuss the issue of Loan Apps. The summit is being organised by state cyber police in collaboration with UNICEF.

The Finance Ministry constituted an expert committee headed by former SEBI chief M. Damodaran to examine and suggest measures to address regulatory issues to scale up investments by venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE).
Other members of the committee include G. Mahalingam, former whole time member of SEBI and executive director of RBI; representatives from CBIC; Income tax Department; NCAER among others. FY23 budget proposed to set up such a committee.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the All-India Official Language Conference in Gujarat’s Surat.
The conference is being organised on the occasion of Hindi Day , which is celebrated annually on September 14 across the country.

The Emmy Awards 2022 Awarding Ceremony was held recently in Los Angeles. Lead Actor in a Drama Series title was won by Lee Jung-jae, Squid Game while the Lead actress in the same category was won by Zendaya for Euphoria.
Hwang Dong-hyuk won the directing Emmy for the dystopian Korean thriller, Squid Game. Jason Sudeikis won Best Actor in Comedy Series for Apple’s show Ted Lasso.

Azerbaijan and Armenia, former Soviet republics, are located in the mountainous Caucasus region, which span Asia and Europe. Azerbaijan is bounded by the Caspian Sea.
Azerbaijan reported that over 70 of its troops had died in border clashes with Armenia in the worst fighting since 2020.

The world’s largest museum of Harappan culture is being constructed in Rakhigarhi. It is a village in Hisar district of Haryana, famous for its archaeological site from the Indus Valley civilisation period.
The world-class museum will display 5000-year-old Indus Valley artefacts. Rakhigarhi was part of the Indus Valley Civilisation from 2600-1900 BC. In the skeletons found in the village, shell bangles, copper mirror and semi-precious stone beads were found.

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has organised the Hackathon 3.0 ‘KRITAGYA’ for promoting ‘speed breeding for crop improvement’.
ICAR, along with its National Agricultural Higher Education Project and Crop Science Division, is organizing the event. Students, faculty and innovators across the country can apply and participate as a group and can collaborate with local start-ups.

The Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Rajeev Chandrasekhar, is set to inaugurate India’s first lithium cell manufacturing facility at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
The unit has been set up by Chennai-based Munoth Industries with an outlay of Rs 165 crore. At present, India imports 100 percent of its lithium-ion batteries primarily from China, South Korea, Vietnam and Hong Kong.

World Patient Safety Day is marked every year on 17 September to raise awareness regarding the safety of patients.
In May 2019, the World Health Assembly (Forum of WHO) established the World Patient Safety Day while adopting Resolution on “Global action on patient safety”
