Vodafone Idea’s business division, known as Vi Business, has introduced an IoT (Internet of Things) lab-as-a-service in collaboration with C-DOT (Centre for Development of Telematics).
This lab, known as the Vi C-DOT IoT lab, is designed to facilitate a wide range of testing scenarios, numbering over 175. These scenarios encompass network and functional testing, field testing, application testing, compatibility testing, and oneM2M standard testing, among others.

NASA is set to launch its Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope to perform humanity’s deepest-ever peek into the heart of Milky Way Galaxy.
The telescope will monitor the vast expanse of space for ‘tell-tale flickers’ for secrets that may change our understanding of the world. It is expected to potentially set a new record for the most distant exoplanet ever discovered.

Eight former Indian Navy personnel have been sentenced to death by a court in Qatar. The former naval officers had been working for Al Dahra company on a submarine project for the Qatari authorities when they were detained more than a year ago.
The Ministry of External Affairs is currently ‘exploring legal options’ and intends to take the matter up with officials in the other country.

India created history at the Asian Para Games 2023, ending the event with their best-ever performance of 111 medals in Hangzhou.
This year’s figure is more than the 72 medals in 2018, includes 29 gold medals, 31 silver and 51 bronze. In the overall leaderboard, India finished in 5th position which is also their best-ever standing.

In spite of being the country’s second least populated State, Mizoram exhibits the highest incidence rate of cancer in India.
The latest evidence from an 18-year trend study notes a consistent rise in cancer incidence and mortality in Mizoram, with stomach cancer emerging as the primary cause of cancer-related deaths among men, while lung cancer is the primary cause of deaths among women.

Indian Army and Indian Air Force contingent comprising 120 personnel departed for Kazakhstan to take part in the 7th edition of Joint Military ‘Exercise KAZIND-2023’. at Otar in Kazakhstan.
The Joint Exercise between India and Kazakhstan was instituted as ‘Exercise PRABAL DOSTYK’ in 2016. After the second edition, it was upgraded to a company-level exercise as ‘Exercise KAZIND’. The Exercise has been further upgraded as a Bi-service Exercise this year by including the Air Force component.
