An Israeli airstrike targeted a building near the historic Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza, which is part of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
The church suffered significant damage as a result of this strike. It is the oldest active church in the city as it was consecrated 1600 years ago, and is named after 5th century Saint Porphyrius, known for Christianizing the pagan city of Gaza.

The Sri Lankan Cabinet has granted approval for the issuance of free visas to citizens of India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand.
This initiative has been launched as a pilot project with immediate effect and will be in operation until March 31, 2024. It aims to rebuild the debt-trapped island nation’s tourism sector.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved inclusion of Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project of Uttarakhand under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana-Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (PMKSY-AIBP).
PMKSY-AIBP is a scheme under Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has instructed banks to enhance their senior management teams by appointing a minimum of one whole-time director in addition to the managing director on their boards.
The regulatory authority has specified a deadline of four months for banks to submit their proposals for these appointments.

Karnataka, along with the Wildlife Trust of India, has launched the Hostile Activity Watch Kernel (HAWK) system.
It is a special software for wildlife crime management. Data of 35,000 cases of wildlife crime and forest offences have been uploaded, so far. The system will include forest and wildlife offenses.

The Indian Army celebrated ‘Shaurya Diwas’ to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the landing of Indian forces in Kashmir, a historic event that marked the first civil-military victory of Independent India.
This event took place when Indian Army troops arrived at Budgam Airport to remove Pakistani forces from Jammu and Kashmir, following the signing of the Instrument of Accession between Maharaja Hari Singh and the Republic of India.
