President of India Droupadi Murmu launched the fourth Krishi Road Map (2023-2028) of Bihar worth ₹1.62 lakh crore.
The Agriculture Road Map focuses on increasing agricultural production in the State, while also increasing farmers’ incomes in the next five years. It also focuses on the storage, processing and expansion of seed and irrigation along with crop diversification and improved agriculture marketing.

The Indian government has urged states and Union Territories to transition to a Digital Crop Survey system, starting from July 2024.
The Economics, Statistics, and Evaluation Division (ESED), a part of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, has completed guidelines for generating agricultural production estimates and has communicated them to the states and Union Territories. At present, the collection and compilation of crop statistics is manual except in a few states, resulting in delay and manual errors.

Recently, the Jharkhand state government has made a decision to put forward a public transportation initiative known as the ‘Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojna’ for the rural inhabitants of the state.
In its initial phase, the scheme will commence with a fleet of 250 buses and is designed to establish transportation links between remote, tribal, and rural areas and other regions within the state.

The Anubhav Portal, initiated in March 2015 following the directive of the Prime Minister, offers a digital platform for retiring or retired government employees to present and highlight their noteworthy contributions, share their experiences of government service, and provide recommendations for enhancing governance.

The uniqueness of the ‘Arattu’ festival is that the head of the royal family of the erstwhile Travancore kingdom still escorts the idols of deities during the procession in traditional attire. The Aarattu Festival is celebrated twice each year.

According to the European Commission’s State of the Energy Union report, the European Union needs to accelerate its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly to meet its climate targets.
The EU has committed to reducing its planet-heating gas emissions by 55% in 2030 compared to 1990 levels, but it has only achieved a 32% reduction over the past three decades.

The curtain raiser event for Vimarsh 2023, a national hackathon focused on the use of 5G technology for police applications, took place in Delhi.
The hackathon will comprise three stages of idea screening. Stages I and II will be conducted in a virtual format, while Stage III will be held at designated centers in a physical setting. During Stage III, participants will have access to 5G testbeds, private networks, and labs for their projects.
