The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, has provided a self-declaration confirming that 26 poultry compartments are free from High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). This self-declaration was officially endorsed by WOAH on October 13, 2023, coinciding with World Egg Day.
WOAH is an intergovernmental organisation founded in 1924, coordinating, supporting and promoting animal disease control. It is headquartered in Paris.

Recently, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the first district-level paperless e-office system in South Tripura district. This e-office system comes with various advantages.
The state aims to expand its use to the sub-divisional and panchayat levels, guaranteeing efficient and transparent storage of data and files. It had earlier introduced state-level E-office, followed by E-Vidhansabha and E-Cabinet.

Researchers have made a discovery by identifying and documenting enigmatic “singing” plasma waves encircling the planet Mercury.
Although similar waves have previously been detected around Earth, Jupiter, and Saturn, and observed near Uranus and Neptune, this marks the inaugural detection of “whistling” sound waves from Mercury’s magnetic field.

The Union Education Ministry has recently issued instructions to the States to initiate the implementation of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry, abbreviated as ‘APAAR.’ The Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR), also known as ‘One Nation, one student ID,’ functions as an Education Ecosystem Registry, which is also referred to as an ‘EduLocker.’

The joint bilateral training exercise “Exercise Harimau Shakti 2023” between the Indian and Malaysian Army has officially started at Umroi Cantonment in India.
The Malaysian Army contingent includes troops from the 5th Royal Battalion of the Malaysian Army, while the Indian contingent is represented by a battalion of THE RAJPUT REGIMENT. The previous edition of this exercise took place in Malaysia in 2022.
