Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently inaugurated the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR) in Kohima.
It is the first medical college in the northeastern state. NIMSR, Kohima is affiliated with Nagaland University.

Finance ministers and central bank governors (FMCBG) from G20 nations adopted a roadmap for regulating crypto assets at their meeting at Marrakesh in Morocco.
It was created based on the synthesis paper prepared by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Financial Stability Board.

Central Banker Report Card has been issued by Global Finance on an annual basis since 1994. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das received the Award for being ranked ‘A+’ in the Global Finance- Central Banker Report Cards 2023 in Marakkesh city of Morocco.
The award recognizes those central bank governors whose strategies outperformed their peers through originality, creativity, and tenacity. Two other central bankers- Thomas J. Jordan of Switzerland and Nguyen Thi Hong of Vietnam earned an ‘A+’ grade.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the third edition of the Global Maritime India Summit 2023 (GMIS 2023), which is scheduled to take place in Mumbai.
He also unveiled ‘Amrit Kaal Vision 2047’ – a blueprint for the Indian Maritime blue economy. This significant maritime event is being organized by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.

‘Guidance’, the nodal agency for investment promotion of Tamil Nadu, has received the United Nations Promotion Award 2023.
It was awarded for Excellence in Scaling Up Energy Transition Investments at the 8th World Investment Forum held at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Gitex Global 2023, a five-day tech Conference with the overarching theme, ‘The year to imagine AI in everything,’ officially kicked off in Dubai.
The India Pavilion including Nasscom, Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC), and Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council participated in the Conference.

Saint-Bélec slab was found as a lining aside ancient burial mound in Brittany, on the west coast of France in 1900.
A new analysis of the slab, suggests that it could mark the location of forgotten Bronze Age sites dating back to between 2,150 and 1,600 BC.

KatiBihu is a festival celebrated in Assam. It marks the relocation of rice saplings and is known as Kongali Bihu.
There are another two Bihu festivals celebrated in Assam – Bhogali or Magh Bihu is observed in January and Rongali or Bohag Bihu is observed in the month of April.

The Kerala State government, through the Kerala Social Security Mission, initiated the ‘Mittayi’ scheme in 2018. This program aimed to offer free insulin therapy and continuous glucose monitoring devices to individuals suffering from Type 1 diabetes.
Approximately 1,200 children under the age of 18 in Kerala do not qualify for the State government’s ‘Mittayi’ scheme designed to assist individuals with Type 1 diabetes. This exclusion is due to their parents’ annual income exceeding ₹2 lakh.

South Korea, together with Japan and the United States, held a joint aerial exercise near the Korean peninsula, marking the first such collaboration between the three countries.
The drill aimed to expand the countries’ response capabilities against North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats. South Korean and U.S. navies completed a joint anti-submarine exercise called Silent Shark.
